ABOUT THE SHOW: Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Through heart pounding musical numbers, sensational ballads and moving scenes, the show shines a light on the importance of human connection.

ABOUT THE CAST: RENT will have a talented ensemble of performers of varying sizes, abilities, gender-expressions and identities, and racial and ethnic-identities. We strongly welcome actors of all identities and experiences to audition for the role they gravitate towards.

REHEARSALS: Music rehearsals will begin on April 19. The process will carry throughout May leading up to the June opening. Rehearsals generally take place from 6:30 pm-10:00 pm Monday-Friday and some Sundays. TADA is extremely organized and will get the cast a calendar ahead of time so that actors know which dates and times they are called for at rehearsal. Your time is valuable to us! If you have conflicts during the rehearsal period, please list them on your email to casting. We can work around several however the closer to opening the more essential attendance will be.
