A Message For Our Patrons
Dear Valued Patrons,
This has been a very hard year for many, including those of us in the arts. Theatre plays an important role in our community, our lives and our health.
It’s been very difficult not to see our regular patrons and many members of our TADA family at shows on a regular basis this year. Occasionally, we found ways to connect with them with such shows as TADAstock, Live From Lincoln’s Center and most recently with the wonderful concert This Is The Moment.
We had more great productions and events planned for December; however, as Covid-19 cases increase in our community and are taxing our medical professionals, for the safety of our patrons and participants, TADA’s management and its Board of Directors have made the decision that we must do the wise and responsible thing at this time to help where we can. Thus, we will cease all programming for the remainder of the year.
With months of determination spent on acquiring an array of grants and with the support of donors and sponsors, The TADA Theatre is financially stable and ready to take this safety measure. We will return strong in January with a month of national stand-up comedy with our new Comedy Cabaret Series followed by our first mainstage musical in nearly a year, Nunsense in February. Comic Alex Hooper and the production of Santaland Diaries will also take place in 2021 along with an array of other wonderful productions.
TADA has had all required and extra safety measures in place this year, including a new air purification system that made the air inside the theatre as clean as hospitals and laboratories. We also worked diligently with the Covid-19 Arts and Entertainment Task Force and The Health Department on our methods to contact trace if the need arose. We are proud to report that due to these efforts not one case of the coronavirus was reported as a result of any of our productions this year.
Also, thanks to the contributions of ALLO and The Cooper Foundation, The TADA Theatre has been able to live stream several of its most recent concert events, reaching patrons locally and all over the United States. These shows are also now available to rent on the “on demand” section of our website so that you can enjoy the magic of TADA this holiday season. In the first half of 2021 our Comedy Cabaret Series shows will also be available for live stream as will the musical Nunsense. We plan coordinate several more productions in this manner so that TADA can continue to connect both in person and over the internet with our patrons during this time.
Many things have been different this year but one thing that remains the same is the importance of live theatre. It lifts us up when we are down, it allows us all to connect with one another and unify in the story, music and entertainment that’s being shared from the stage. It also brings money into our economy and is an important asset to our community. All of us at The TADA Theatre appreciate your support. If you are able, please consider making a tax-deductible donation via the link on our website. Any amount is appreciated.
Above all, stay safe and know that we look forward to seeing you at the place where The Arts Deserve Attention in the coming year.
